I started Curiosity Refresh Workshops to create the kind of photography experiences I always wished existed, immersive, collaborative, and deeply intentional. Every event I design is rooted in storytelling, culture, and modern style. My hope is that when you attend, you leave not only with stunning images, but with renewed confidence and a refreshed sense of creative curiosity.
My Story
I’m Jennifer Peters, a Canadian Métis photographer and educator, and the founder of JKPeters Photography and Curiosity Refresh Workshops. After 15 years in the oil and gas industry, I chose to follow a long-held pull toward creativity, using photography to slow time and document moments that matter.
Formally trained at ACAD and SAIT, I pair technical foundation with instinct and curiosity. My go-to gear is my trusty Sony A7 IV, and I’m drawn to photographing anything that carries emotion; portraits, events, weddings, family (maternity & newborn), and fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Through my work and workshops, I invite others to see more deeply, create with intention, and reconnect with the joy of image-making. My photography has been exhibited in local venues such as the Calgary Zoo and featured internationally in various publications, and I continue to explore the quiet power of visual storytelling to preserve memory, spark connection, and remind us why moments are worth documenting
