On Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, photographers gathered in the heart of Central Alberta for one of the most breathtaking countryside photography events of the season “Carry Me Away” A Simple Prairie Wedding Photography Shootout, hosted by Curiosity Refresh Workshops 2025
Set against expansive prairie skies and golden summer fields, this immersive wedding editorial experience blended rustic romance with refined storytelling creating an unforgettable afternoon of portfolio-building magic.
The Venue: Double T Percherons Private Ranch
Hosted at Double T Percherons Ranch near Innisfail, Alberta, this private countryside property offered rolling fields, open skies, barns, a peaceful pond, and the undeniable charm of majestic Percheron horses.
With over two decades of heritage, Double T Percherons is known for its fully insured horse-drawn carriage services and community involvement, including appearances at the Calgary Stampede and national events.
For this shootout, their timeless carriages and beautifully groomed draft horses became the focal point of a romantic prairie ceremony scene.
The result? Storytelling that felt cinematic, authentic, and deeply Albertan.
Simple Prairie Elegance
The “Carry Me Away” styled photography shootout was designed to embrace simplicity letting nature lead. And of course, the horses, we love a good, styled shootout with gorgeous Percheron horses as our models.
The styling leaned into:

Warm, golden-hour prairie light
Two real-life bridal couples and two solo brides rotated through multiple portrait areas, allowing photographers to capture diverse love stories from timeless and romantic to modern and editorial.
On-site educators Jennifer Peters (@jkpeters_photography) & Randi Ingram (@lynx_photography_by_r) provided hands-on guidance in posing, lighting, and composition ensuring photographers left not only inspired, but elevated in skill and confidence.
